It been, it came and it devoured my wallet! Myself and the rest of Iron Forest Games went to Salute. This was the first time for us in a couple of years that we went to the show and wasn't running a table which made a nice break for us as we have big plans for 2016...
But back to this years show. It was a great day - the atmosphere seemed friendlier than ever, previous years some of the tables felt a little secluded, with participates eyeing you suspiciously as you closely examine their work and generally ignoring you so they can get back to their game. Not so this year, everyone was friendly and informative.
I came back with a load of goodies - some Warzone Resurrection, figures for my Hi-Jinks project, some Gates of Antares, Lions Rampart and Fistful of Kung-fu.
Highlight of the show for me? Was a conversation with none other than Rick Priestly, the man is a pure gent and despite some fan boy-ish outbursts from me, was gracious to share some insight into the industry for a aspiring games designer like myself.
